When does a game stop being a part of your backlog and just become part of a collection?

I’d like to put a truly honest effort into completing at least a few games on my backlog in 2012. We all know that my collection is going to grow, but it may be time to make a distinction between a backlog and a collection. I can easily admit that I won’t play and/or beat every game in my library. Because of that, let’s put those games into my “collection.” For a large number of my games, I just haven’t gotten to them because I continue to find games for great prices online (I hate and love you Gamefly.com!). My collection will continue to grow and not every game will be gotten to, even if I’m very interested in them (Lost in Shadow for the Wii falls into that category), but that’s okay. So, without further adieu: Here’s what I’d like to beat before June: o Homefront o Halo 3 o Crysis 2 o Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood o Rage Here’s what I’d like to beat by the end of the year: o Fable 3 o Killzone 3 o Super Mario Galaxy   This is a very short list because I will buy more games that will definitely be beaten next year (Uncharted 3, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Rayman Origins). I think that it’s very achievable. What about you guys? Be honest, what games do you want to beat and will put time aside to do them? As you can see from my list above, most of those games are FPS’s that will only take about 10 hours to get through. I’m close to 75% of the way done with AC:B and I already have over 70 stars in SMBG, so the only monster on the list is Fable 3. I look forward to hearing from you. If you think that this is interesting, send me your responses. Share with friends!
